Deon Benito is the author of The Emergence Trilogy — Spark, Kindling, and Wildfire — an epic fantasy published by his independent press, Benito Books, which he founded to publish his own work and champion other independent voices.
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Deon co-owns The Sweet and Savory Pie Company in northern Michigan with his husband. His forthcoming books include The Crooked Tree Mysteries, a mystery series set in Harbor Springs; What Leaders Make Normal, on leadership and organizational culture; and In Pie We Trust, a cookbook from the pie-shop kitchen.
